Winter Wonderland

BLIZZARD 12-26-12

This is the snow cleared from our driveway today!

We had the most wonderful Christmas with our family.  The dinner smorgasbord that Grandma had prepared for us was so wonderful and if anyone left the table hungry, that was their own fault!  Grandma made us her homemade stuffed cabbage for Christmas and we always fill our plates real high with them because they are so delicious.  The wonderful gifts that each of us received were truly practical and things that we all needed.  Gifts from the heart are so appreciated as they mean the world to us.  (Thank you Grandma for the wonderful meal!)  And, a great BIG thank you to Daddy for making our Christmas very special for all of us!  You mean the world to us!

Daddy Got an Awesome Alarm Clock

We were so lucky that the weather held out for our travels on Christmas, because today we got hit with a Blizzard!  It has been snowing here since 9:15am and has not stopped.  The snow blower got a real workout today for sure, and so did Daddy, as we both cleared the driveway a few times during the day.  You can hear the murmur of snow blowers all around the neighborhood as everyone was digging out.  Approximately 8+ inches of snow has fallen here so far and we can’t wait to see what we will find tomorrow morning when we wake.  As for Nikita and Bella, they absolutely LOVE the snow and can’t get enough of running through it, eating it, digging in the snow piles, and running in circles all around the yard.  We just keep telling them to not eat the yellow snow!

Oh Snap! It’s My Auntie’s Birthday!

Me & My Auntie

What makes someone special?  Well, I’ll tell you… it’s all about LOVE!   It’s how you treat someone, how you show that you care, how you talk to them, how being a good listener is a good thing, and the unconditional love that you receive.  It’s all about LOVE – period.  If you can tell someone that you love them, then you should not have any problems with showing them, as this should be a natural thing that comes from deep inside you & from your heart.

Today, is my other Auntie’s birthday.  She is loving and kind, speaks in a kind voice, and shows me all kinds of attention when she visits!  She plays with me & sometimes she may hide a toy or two in her shirt to try to fool me, but I always know where my toys are, and I find where it is hiding.  That’s what we do, that’s how me and my Auntie play.  I have so much fun with her as she chases me around the house doing laps like we were training for the Olympics.  She also has the knack for picking out just the right toy for me – ones with lots of squeakers in it!  LOL

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE – I LOVE YOU!   Always remember that I love you not for what you buy me, but for all the LOVE that you show me, that’s what it’s all about.  If I could get you an award, it would be for “The Best Auntie In The World“.  Have fun on your birthday today while shopping with Grandma!

Hugs & Kisses,
Nikita

What Was In Your Picnic Basket?

WOW!  We have been busy over here and we were glad that Daddy got a day off and had the chance to relax on the 4th of July with us.   I had so much fun because the family came over for a cookout and I was so excited to see them.  Mommy took some good photographs of me and I wanted to share them with you.  All I know is that on Tuesday, all I did was sleep…. all day because I was one tired puppy, and I bet it was hard for Daddy to get up for work too after being off for 4 days.  That’s gotta be rough and he probably beat up his alarm clock when it started to ring.  lol

Crispy Oil Burner!

Anyhow, our 4th started off with a BANG, or some fireworks, no wait…..it started off with a fire!  A fire right on the kitchen table!  Yep, that’s right!  Mommy’s little glass oil burner that was lit on the kitchen table caught fire!  Mommy and Grandma were in the kitchen busy getting all the food ready for the grill and when they turned around, the oil burner was flaming on the table.  They yelled for Daddy who was outside getting the grill ready and he came in and helped get the burner fire put out.  Man, that was scary!  We never knew that those little burners could be that flammable, but they are, and we found out the hard way.  There was no damage to anything, just the oil burner, but what a way to start off our holiday party!  Geez!

Having FUN with Mommy & Daddy

I just love holidays because everyone gets together for some laughs, great food and good times.  Spending time with family means so much to me.  There’s nothing better than feeling all the love that fills the air when your family is around.  They are always your rock, your sounding board, they don’t judge you – they just love you, and they are who provides you with unconditional love no matter what.  That is why family members are the best and most precious.  For me, I rely on Daddy and Mommy to do everything for me, and without them, I would not have the good home that I have now, nor would I have all the love that they provide me, the good care that they give to me, and if it wasn’t for everything that Daddy does for both Mommy and me, we would be lost.  Daddy provides so much for the both of us and we are so appreciative for all that he does for us.

Here’s a photograph of me and Mommy enjoying the Fourth, but since we did not set off any fireworks this year (Daddy & Mommy weren’t sure if I would be scared or not), Mommy just added them to the photo for a great effect.  (I love this photo)

I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July and I hope all of your oil burners did not catch on fire like ours did! (lol)
