Santa’s Reindeer Are in our Neighborhood!

We heard that Santa and a few of his reindeer would be visiting our neighborhood, so we just had to check it out today.  Santa brought two of his reindeer to a neighborhood plaza by us and we got to see them close up.  We did not get the chance to pet them, but we got close enough to get some great photographs!  Seeing a reindeer this close was pretty cool this close to Christmas time, so they better rest up to pull the sleigh!  Santa was inside posing for pictures with the kids, and I poked my head inside the door to snag a quick photo of him.  He smiled when he looked my way.  Here are some of the photographs that I snapped while standing outside in the 40 degree temps.  It was well worth it.

My Cage all decorated with LED Lights

Hey everyone, it’s me, Nikita!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas like I did with Daddy & Mommy!  We had so much fun and I am one pooped puppy, because all I did was play, & play, & play with all of my new toys, it just wore me out!  WOW, now I know what all the fuss is about, but holidays are exhausting, but a lot of fun!  Here is a photo of what Mommy did to my cage – she decorated it with 100 LED lights and I loved it!  I just laid in my cage and looked up at all the lights twinkling and also tried to eat the lights that were on the bottom of my cage, but for some reason, I could not get them. Hump!  I heard that these are called something like a “reflection”, but I don’t know what that it, all I know is that I wanted to bite those lights that were by my feet!

Uncle Denis & Aunt Becky (which are actually my next door neighbors – I love these guys so much

My new favorite toy

got me a great toy for Christmas!  It is this great big red ring that ever since I got it, it is now my new favorite toy!  I chase this ring all around the house, throwing it up in the air, stick my nose & feet through the hole, (silly puppy), but when Daddy or Mommy try to play with it, I just take it away from them and… RUN!  LOL  Thanks Uncle Denis & Aunt Becky for such a great toy!

HELP, I'm Stuck!

Ya know, some things never change, I am now over five months old and I am still fascinated with that “Big White Thing” we have in the kitchen.  Every time Daddy opens up the door to the big white thing, I have to check it out to see what has changed inside since the last time I checked, but every time I look, there is always something to lick in that thing!  Daddy laughs at me every time I lick the wine bottle, as he tells me that I am not old enough to lick that, but I do anyways!  What’s a puppy to do, right?

Some things never change!

Anyways, I just wanted to make sure that everyone had a wonderful & practical Christmas, everyone is happy that they have their health, food on the table (and in their bellies too), a roof over them (or a decorated cage like me) and most important, have the love of their family to cherish every day.  Live for today like there is no tomorrow, cherish your memories, forget the past misfortunes and get ready to make new memories with your family to last a lifetime.  Hugs & wet puppy kisses to YOU!  Love always, Nikita

Happy Holidays from Nikita

Hi everyone, it’s me, Nikita!  Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and send all of you some puppy smoochies!  Here is our Christmas card that we just finished, so I hope you enjoy it!  I have been busy the last couple of days because we got LOTS of that white stuff called SNOW on the ground where I live!  As of today, the snow comes up higher than my belly, and I have had so much fun running and jumping like a kangaroo in the snow.

I have had a hard time figuring out where all of the grass went where I used to go to the bathroom on, so I have to dig lots of holes in the snow to find the grass to relieve myself.   I still chase all the birdies when I see them on the bird feeder, even though Mommy tells me to leave them alone.  Daddy got me this neat fleece pullover to wear outside to keep me warm, but I don’t have any photo’s yet of me in it.  I will post them up here when I get em!  Daddy is so thoughtful to make sure I am all warm when I go outside in the cold.  I heard Mommy & Daddy talking about getting me some dog booties to wear, but I think that is not a good idea.  ME?  Wear booties?  Not a chance!

I know we have only 18 days left until Christmas, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday just in case I got busy.  All of you are so special to me and I hope you continue to watch my blog & watch me grow up!

With Love Always,

Getting ready for Christmas

Daddy got me a new toy!

Hi everyone, it’s me, Nikita!  Boy did we have a busy weekend!  My Daddy had a few vacation days for Thanksgiving and I got to spend so much time with him.  I love it when my Daddy is home because he rubs my belly all the time!  I have a lot to be thankful for, and although I did not eat any turkey that Grandma made, I got all the love from my Daddy & Mommy.  We spent the weekend decorating the house for Christmas, listened to Christmas music and we put up our Christmas tree.   Boy does it look pretty!

Taking a nap after playing with my new toy

I even got an ornament to put on the tree, it even looks like me too with a santa hat!  How neat is that!  I want to bite everything that is shiny on the tree, but Mommy keeps me away from it – she said it was a no no to bother the tree, so I better listen to her.   Daddy had to do some errands and came home with this neat new toy for me… a new candy cane with two squeakers!  The more squeakers, the better!  I kept runnung all around the house with my new toy and played keep away from Daddy & Mommy, they thought that was funny.

I even got a letter from Santa too in the mail!  Hey, how did Santa know I was here?  Mommy said that Santa knows all, and she said that I have to be a good little puppy so Santa will bring me lots of toys and puppy treats.  Gosh, I hope I can be good until Christmas, I’ll try…but it is going to be hard!

Letter from Santa

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving & got to see your family.  Until later – Wet puppy kisses to you… Nikita

I’ve Been a Good Girl

I'm tall enough to see out the window now!

Hey everyone, it’s me, Nikita!  I have been busy since the last time I posted something on my blog.  I still chase leaves in the yard, even though Mommy keeps cleaning them all up, I found out too that I am now tall enough to look out the window to see the BIG huge world.  I bark now at the dogs walking by, just want them to know that I am on duty!

It only took me a week to learn my name and how to sit on command, but coaxing me with treats to do so helps. (it is always appreciated)  It’s been about a week that I haven’t had an accident in the house either (Mommy is happy about that) and I now whine by the back door when I want to go outside.  (phew)  Heck, if that is all that I had to do was whine by the back door to go chase leaves, I would have done this a lot earlier!  (silly leaves)

Me and my new Hedgehog toy from Grandma

My nice Grandma visits me often and when she does, she brings me a new toy!  (Thanks Grandma – I love you)  Here is a photo of me and my new toy from Grandma.  Mommy might have to sew the nose back on my Hog because I kinda chewed it off a bit, sorry Mommy.

I also help my Mommy get the eBay packages ready for shipment! (I don’t think that Mommy likes it when I try chewing on the boxes though).  Mommy & Daddy also have a neat website at and they sell all kinds of unique Seasonal items for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and 4th of July.  Both Daddy and Mommy are really big into Halloween, and some of their props scare me, so I try to stay away from those things because some of them talk too! (yikes)

Well, that’s it for today because it is time for me to take a nap! (I love naps) But I did hear that Mommy & Daddy are trying to figure out what I should be on Halloween…what do you think?

Until tomorrow,

Helping Mommy ship items on eBay
