Nicki Minaj Speaks Her Mind – – And, I Like It!

Nicki Minaj Speech BubbleEver since Simon Cowell left American Idol years ago, we have not had any judges who really told it like it is, but I felt that Simon was mean & snarky in the way that “he” did it.  For example, he could say to a contestant, “you suck“.  Sure he might have felt that way, but there are other ways of telling someone they suck.  The truth hurts, but sometimes we need to hear the truth to give us that much needed kick in the butt wake up call.

But, over the last few episodes of American Idol, I am a new found fan of Nicki Minaj.  She delivered the perfect kick in the butt wake up call that a lot of the contestants needed last night.  She was right!  I would sit here, season after season, critiquing the contestants from my kitchen table and I would always ask “why aren’t the judges telling them like it is?” or “why are they sugar coating it?” or hearing lame comments from the judges like “you’re in it to win it” or “where’s the other half of your dress?“.  Most of these American Idol contestants have never received any “real” feedback before in their lives and they need to hear the truth.  Nicki Minaj served that up last night on a silver platter to them.  She was right when she stated that the contestants needed to “step it up” and shine – show us what you got, or you are going to be very upset….with yourself later.  And, I bet a lot of them were… on their trip home.  This is a singing competition and everyone wants that golden crown in the end, but you can’t win it if you don’t bring it!  Game On!

I did feel bad for some of the contestants though, but only for a few seconds, after they received what they perceived what was harsh feedback and were sent home.  But after watching some of the most horrible group night performances on Wednesday where a lot of guys forgot the lyrics to their song, I was surprised when their solo performances turned out much better.  These contestants have been told all their life that they could sing by family members and friends, but never have they stood in front of a panel of talented judges who know a thing or two about singing. I get it.  I bet it’s probably scary to stand up on that stage and perform, but isn’t that what you wanted?  To go to Hollywood?  To make a name for yourself?  To actually win this competition?  If so, then you need to be better than all the rest to keep yourself alive round after round.  Nicki was right.  If you don’t, then you will be pretty upset with yourself later on.

To date, some of our favorites are:  Paul Jolley, Lazaro Arbos, and Nick Boddington.  As Guy Week comes to a close, there are 28 guys remaining. Eight of those 28 will be cut next Thursday.  The girls are up next week and let’s see how they fair with Nicki’s truthful remarks, and I bet there will be a lot of crying afterwards.  Suck it up is all I’ve got to say!  If you don’t make it this year, there’s always next year.

Until next week….

Behind The Scene Before American Idol Airs

BELLA SILLY DOG

We are avid American Idol viewers.  I know, we are probably the only two people watching Idol right now, but I know personally, that there are others who avidly watch Idol right along with us.  (phew!)  On Idol nights, we always eat dinner quickly, clear off the dishes, take the dogs out for a pee (as pee breaks only happen during a commercial break when Idol is on), and get ready for some great contestants…..or rather, some ridiculous feuds between the judges!

But, do you know what happens behind the scene here before Idol airs on TV?  Well, you are in luck, because we have some great photographs of what happens.

BELLA ON COUCH1

BELLA RELAXING ON COUCH

We had a spaghetti night last night and Nikita always loves to play with the rigatoni boxes, always have since she was a puppy.  But now, she has someone who tries to take the box away from her, but Nikita does not let that happen as she KNOWS it is her box.  As you can see from the photographs, Nikita is having so much fun!  (so why do we spend so much money on toys for them when they love things like this?)

RIGATONI BOXES ARE FUN TO PLAY WITH

While on the other hand, Bella has been amusing herself with her first time being allowed on “Nikita’s Couch”.  Bella started jumping up on the only couch we allow Nikita on (which I have it nicely covered with a comforter), and she was having fun!  She kept peeking at us sitting in the kitchen while we watched Idol over the back of the couch as to say “Look at me!” and “Look where I am!”.  It was funny and I was glad that I had my camera on hand to capture some of these hilarious shots!

BELLA JUMPNG OFF COUCH

So, sit back and enjoy another fun night of Idol where they will be heading to Baton Rouge, LA and think of us here, enjoying our dogs and enjoying life!  Pee breaks only happen during commercials, sorry!

Are Dogs Allowed In Hollywood?

NIKITA IDOL1

For those of us who watch American Idol, regardless of who the judges are, we got to watch our first two nights of drama this week.  We heard some outstanding new talent, and lots of screeching squealie finger nails on the chalkboard voices who made us run for the mute button on the remote, but that is what is expected when you watch Idol.   Unfortunately, the cat fights between Mariah and Nicki makes me feel like I am watching the Jerry Springer show, as their arguing in front of the contestants is unfortunate.

NIKITA IDOL2

You just never know what to expect, especially when an adorable 21 year old Cuban immigrant takes the stage, and ends up stealing our hearts.  Lazaro Arbos has suffered his whole life with a severe stutter, but once he began singing “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”, he stunned everyone.  It was truly the most precious moment of Idol this week and even the judges were speechless, which is hard to believe.

We even saw a return visit from Johnny Keyser who auditioned in Season 11 and made it to the top 60 last year and showed a lot of promise.  Although he sang well this week, I don’t think he blew the judges away, but they gave him a golden ticket and granted him another shot at Hollywood.

Another contestant who threw me for a loop was Kez Ban.  If this is the perfect example of “You can’t judge a book by its cover”, then I don’t know what is.  She was an amateur fire dancing street performer (who burned off all the hair on her chin too) and she freely admitted that she did not expect to win anything.  Yet, this oddly dressed contestant was quite talented, so we will be watching her on what she does when she gets to Hollywood for sure.  She truly was not your typical Idol contestant, but who cares what they wear?  I mean, look at Phillip Phillips who throughout the entire season would not change his looks for anyone, and kept to wearing what he was comfortable in….his gray shirts and jeans.  Good for him!

This is definitely going to be an interesting season nonetheless, and at this point, it is hard for us to choose a favorite.  Stay tuned for more brawls next week between Mariah and Nicki on American Idol, but seriously…. Idol is supposed to be about the contestants and making talented people’s dreams come true, not about the immature grudges between the girl judges.  (I feel bad for Keith Urban being the scratching post between two cats!)

It Only Takes One Day To Change The Rest Of Your Life

IDOL BANNER SEASON 13

Yo Dawg,

As Randy Jackson would say, here we are, just two days away from a new season of American Idol.  Season 13 should definitely be an interesting one, for those of you who will actually watch it.  With the new changes in judges, the contestants might have a hard time getting any attention with the cat fights going on between Mariah and Nicki.

I feel bad for both Randy Jackson and Keith Urban since they will not only have to judge the contestants, but they will have to be the moderators between the girl judges.  Wake up Mariah and Nicki, American Idol is NOT about you, it is about finding the next “American Idol”, the next great talent of 2013, and the next person who’s life is going to change by getting that golden ticket to Hollywood.

Phillip Phillips Golden TicketPhillip Phillips won American Idol last year and if you remember, the judges even made the statement when he auditioned that “you’re the next American Idol”.  It was ironic that Phillip actually did win after that comment, but he was fantastic and deserved to win.

If you have been following American Idol, then you will know that it has been 5 seasons since a “GIRL” won.  In Season Six, Jordin Sparks was the last girl to win, and the boys have taken over since.  I think it is time for a girl to take back the title and win this season already!

We are anxiously awaiting for Wednesday night to arrive so our season of Idol can start, as we will scarf down dinner quickly, get in our favorite chair and get comfy, grab a cup of coffee, and sit back and watch all the hoopla start.  We have been waiting for this night to arrive for quite some time, and we are ready to begin our trek down Idol Lane.  Ya know you always have to watch Idol from the beginning, as you get to see all of those awkward quirky singers who “think” they can sing, but cannot.  You know that their family & friends have probably pushed them, encouraged them, and coaxed them to go and sign up for Idol, as they think in the back of their heads that they actually have a chance at winning American Idol.  But for those contestants who are given a great big “NOOOOOO” across the judges table, are usually the ones who throw a huge fit and want to fight the judges or beg the judges for a second chance.  There are no second chances in Idol, as you only have one chance to make a first impression.  Period.

So I hope that everyone who loves American Idol will join in with us as we do our weekly review of our thoughts of the next emerging star.  One thing for sure is that this season will definitely be an interesting season with lots to talk about, not only about the off key notes that contestants hit, but the trash that the judges will be throwing back and forth.  So sit back & enjoy the show…

American Idol’s 400th Episode – A Night to Remember

If you were glued to the TV last night like we were, you got to see the best performance of the Season!  There is definitely one person who has no fears of being voted off the show, Jessica Sanchez.  This young girl put on a flawless performance with Whitney Houston’s song “I Will Always Love You“, a song that is truly a hard song to do for most, but Jessica made it look easy, like a walk in the park.  As Jennifer Lopez always says, “you gave me goosies” and with her performance last night, she did just that.  They said that she just made 40 million people cry, and I bet she did without a doubt, but in a good way.

Other performers to watch are Joshua Ledet as he is truly in this to win it!  Every time we see Joshua sing, he just gets better and better and he did a fantastic job on Stevie Wonder’s song “I Wish“.  Another flawless performance – look out guys, Joshua wants this really bad!

Elise Testone has been one of our favorites from the beginning, but we don’t think she pulled out all the stops with her rendetition of Whitney Houston’s song “I’m Your Baby Tonight” and it appears that she cannot adapt that well to different song types that are out of her comfort zone.

Jermaine Jones who was brought back by the judges because of his unique singing voice, needs to work on connecting with the audience and feeling the song that he is singing.

Erika Van Pelt (EVP) has been one of our favorites from the beginning and she sang Whitney Houston’s song “I Believe In You And Me” and she definitely hit all the right notes.  It was just strange to see our DJ rocker girl in an evening gown.

Colton Dixon was challenged this week and took on Stevie Wonder’s song “Lately” which was a huge difference from last weeks performance where he was dancing on top of the piano, but that is the way things go in Idol – you get an assignment, and you have to go with it.  He is one of our favorites this year, because he reminds us a lot of James Durbin from last season.

Shannon Magrane is someone we feel sorry for because she bombed last night with her rendetion of Whitney Houston’s song “I Have Nothing“, to which this is exactly what she ended up with…nothing.  The judges did not spare any bad remarks for Shannon either – if you stunk, then you stunk, plain & simple.  Sorry, truth hurts.  Shannon just tried to rush through the song and then tried to catch up to where she was supposed to be, and all it was in the end was crash & burn.  We feel that she’ll get the lowest votes by America, but we’ll see what happens tonight.

Deandre Brackensick is someone that is not on our favorite list, but he did give the best performance that we have seen by him in this season as he took on Stevie Wonder’s song “Master Blaster“.  At least he pulled his hair back into a ponytail so we did not have to watch another episode of his hair-flipping that is very annoying.

Skylar Laine is one of our favorites even though we are not huge country fans, but she took on Whitney Houston’s song “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and was able to pull it off quite well, which was not an easy task for a country singer to do.  This just proves to us that she is versatile and can sing just about anything.

Heejun Han is one entertaining comic who sings, we just love him to pieces and love the fact that you can’t judge a book by its cover, because when you look at him you would not believe that this boy can really sing.  Heejun just needs to work on his performances and interact with the audience, improve his eye contact, and “feel” the songs that he is singing, just like a lot of the other performers.  He took on Stevie Wonder’s song “All Is Fair In Love” and although he pulled it off, he needs to step it up to stay in this competition.

Hollie Cavanagh is another girl to watch, as this young girl has a set of lungs on her as she took on Whitney Houston’s song “You’re All The Man That I Need” – all we can say is WOW, this girl can sing!

Jeremy Rosado took on Stevie Wonder’s song “Ribbon In The Sky” and we still don’t know what the judges see in him.  Sure, he’s a nice boy and all, very polite, but that won’t win this competition.  He might be on the cutting block tonight, but we will have to see how America voted.

Jessica Sanchez has no fear of being cut tonight as she had the best performance of the night as she took on Whitney Houston’s song “I Will Always Love You” to which is not an easy task to do, but this young girl did it effortlessly and locking in her top spot on Idol.  Way to go Jessica!  She is definitely the one to watch out for as she is in this to win it.  “Goosies

And last but not least, Phillip Phillips took on Stevie Wonder’s song “Superstition“.  We kept saying all night that we hope that someone does this song, and Phillip took charge of it and made it his own.  That proves that he is someone that is versatile and that he wants to win this!

Our predictions are that Shannon & Jeremy will both have the lowest votes, but it will be the judges decision to keep one.  Who do you think they will keep?  Since Jennifer Lopez has already fought to keep Jeremy, then Shannon will probably be the one sent home.  It will prove interesting tonight – stay tuned!

Leave us your comments on who you want to win this Season!

American Idol: Girls -vs- Boys

I am sure that all of you who are following American Idol, are on pins and needles today, because tonight we will find out who America voted to keep and who will be sent home.  For the last two nights, we witnessed the guys auditions, and who they brought back to make the thirteenth guy, Jermaine Jones, and then last night we watched the girls take the stage to rock the house.

It appears that the judges were more critical on the girls than they were on the boys, but with some good reasons.  Not all the girls turned it on last night and found their sweet spot, but for the others, they had stellar performances.   Here is what is going to happen tonight, depending upon how America voted, the top 5 girls and the top 5 guys will automatically be voted through to the next round, and 3 wild cards will be thrown by the judges to round out the Top 13.  So, that means that the Top 25 will be cut down to 13 tonight.  Get ready for some major sobbing as the drama begins for the remaining contestants and we find out who makes it to the next level.

Here is the list of our Top 5 Favorite Girls & Boys:
Erika Van Pelt, her confidence shines through her voice
Jen Hirsh, can definitely hold a note and has not had any flaws
Skylar Laine, she truly had the best performance & voice and showed everyone that she can truly perform & get the job done
Jessica Sanchez, this girl can really sing and will end up being one of the top contenders on Idol
Elise Testone, she has more to bring to the table and we felt she held back a little, but we hope that America voted to keep her

Joshua Ledet, WOW is all we can say about this singer!
– Colton Dixon, this boy is radio ready, the next James Durbin
Phillip Phillips, this quirky singing pawn shop worker is definitely one of our favorites and we hope he moves onto the next level
– Creighton Fraker, we never know what this guy has up this sleeve, but we love his versatility and energy
Aaron Marcellus, WOW again for this guy, he can really sing and we want him to stay

We have many more favorites too, as we have been a fan of Adam Brock from the beginning, but we think that America might vote him off, Reed Grimm also has great potential but we’re unsure if he will make the final cut, and last but not least is Heejun Han, we know that he can sing, but he has to do a better job on his performance.   Also, there always has to be one Idol who thinks that their stuff does not stink and grates on our nerves, and that is Brielle Von Hugel, who we think that America will vote her off just because of this & because we don’t want to see her obnoxious Mom any more.

That’s it, our rundown of our picks.  In a few hours we will find out what happens and see if any of our favorites stay and if America voted the same way.  Good luck to everyone!

American Idol – The Bakers Dozen of Guys

Tonight on American Idol, America will now be able to vote for their favorites, but there is a twist, as they announced last week that they will bring back one more guy to make it 13 guys competing, not 12.  We want to know from you, who should they bring back tonight!   Tonight, the guys will only be competing and showing America what they have to hopefully make it through to the next round.  The cuts will be drastic, as the Top 25 will be cut down to the TOP 12 after all of the competitions are done this week.  Take our poll and let us know who you want brought back as the 13th guy!

Nikita, out!

10 More +1 Make it to The Top 24 on American Idol

Last night on American Idol started with 90 seconds of the cliffhanger ending from Wednesday night, deciding the fate of Adam Brock.  After the sobbing 90 seconds tear-fest, Adam Brock made it onto the Top 24 List, but it was not a unanimous vote by the judges.  (I wonder who did not want Adam to move through?)  We love Adam a lot and love his voice, but he has to snap out of it and get a reality check that he cannot move forward in this competition with all this crying.  As the music coach said to one contestant “There’s no crying in Music“.   It is wonderful and endearing that he misses his little daughter & wife so much, but how can he move forward in this competition if all of America who will be now voting on him from now on, is seeing him sobbing about wanting to be home.  He needs a reality check… Adam if you are listening, suck it up and sing your heart out & win this thing!

Moving on to more of last night’s drama, one by one the contestants walked the Green Mile to receive their fate, to continue their journey & join the rest of the group who made it through, or find out if it was the end of the line for them.  You could hear a pin drop on how quiet it was in amongst the sobbing from the Idol Hopefuls, one by one, then at the end, they were brought out in small groups to face the judges.  We were surprised when the judges sent David Leathers Jr. home and moved Eben Franckewitz forward.  We love Eben and feel that he has a great deal of potential, but we thought that the past performances by David Leathers were far better in comparison.

After the final Top 24 List was complete, as 6 guys & 4 girls were added to the list, the judges announced that they are going to add one “Bonus Guy” (to make it 13 guys, not 12) from the following choices:  John Keyser, David Leathers, Jermaine Jones, and no way in the world do we want this guy back – Richie Law.  We think that they added Richie Law’s name to this list to get America chatting and to start the buzz and rumors around the water cooler, because everyone that I have asked does not like Richie and was glad to see him voted off.  If Richie is in fact the 13th chosen one, America will for sure vote this obnoxious cowboy off.  For some reason, we think that the judges will bring back Jermaine Jones since he has a different style of voice, but who knows as it could be Jennifer’s favorite, John Keyser.

Here are the contestants who made it through to the TOP 24 25 List last night:

– Adam Brock
– Eben Franckewitz
– Jeremy Rosado
– Chase Liekens
– Aaron Marcellus
– Deandre Brackensick

– Shannon Magrane
– Skylar Laine
– Hallie Day
– Holly Cavanagh

Next Tuesday, the “baker’s dozen” of guys will compete live for the first time, followed by the girls on Wednesday, and Thursday we will find out who will make it to the Top 12 List as I am sure that will be a nail-biter on the edge of your seat night for all of us.  We hope that YOUR favorite(s) make it through!

Until next week’s drama – Nikita Out!

P.S. – By the way, what’s up with Steven Tyler stripping on stage then jumping into the water?  Is American Idol hurting for ratings?

American Idol: The Pressure Cooker Night

Last week’s cheesy themed auditions for the ’50’s is finally over and 42 contestants remain, as they got one final shot to sing their own song of choice for the judges, hopefully they chose their song wisely.  Now, each contestant gets to walk down the plank or “The Green Mile” to find out their fate, if they stay or if they get sent home.  There will only be 24 left standing after tonight’s reviews, then America gets to vote on their fate.  Last night, 14 contestants made it through to the next round, 8 girls and 6 guys.  In the end, there will be 12 girls picked and 12 guys who will make up the TOP 24 contestants on American Idol.  This was their toughest part of their journey, as for some, it will be their start to stardom and to show America how they can shine as a singer & performer, and for the others who did not make it, their journey to be a star might have ended…but there is always next year!

One contestant in particular, we are glad was sent home last night – Richie Law.  Richie is the obnoxious cowboy who stated in a prior show “I did not come here to recycle music, I came here to make music“, and all that he did was state that “he was the NEXT American Idol”, was rude to everyone, did not follow directions well, annoyed everyone, bad mouthed everyone, and in one clip we noticed that he punched a girl in the face on the bus ride to Las Vegas.  Even if Richie would have made it to the Top 24, America would have surely voted him off without a doubt.  (Sorry Richie!)

Anyhow, listed below are the top 14 who made it so far:

  • Jen Hirsh, the girl next door
  • Haley Johnsen, pop star in the making
  • Elise Testone, no frills rocker chick
  • Erika Van Pelt, cool DJ
  • Bailey Brown, second time is the charm for this country singer
  • Chelsea Sorrell, another country singer (has Idol gone country?)
  • Jessica Sanchez, a young diva
  • Brielle Von Hugel, bossy brat (gets that from her Mom)

  • Creighton Fraker, eccentric musician
  • Joshua Ledet, the soul singer with a great voice
  • Reed Grimm, a showbiz natural
  • Heejun Han, this guy can really sing
  • Phillip Phillips, in it to win it
  • Colton Dixon, destined to win

Last night ended with a cliffhanger, as they left us wondering what was the outcome for Adam Brock.  Adam has been one of our favorites this season and we would be sad if he was sent home at this point.  We are keeping our fingers crossed to find out tonight on what his fate will be and hopefully he will be saved to become one of the Top 24.  The one thing that we saw a clip on last night, was someone jumping into the water from the stage.  Did anyone see that?  Maybe tonight we will see who jumps in.  We also have high hopes that Eben Franckewitz and David Leathers also make it to the Top 24 as well.  We’ll find out the outcome of the remaining contestants tonight, so stay tuned!

A Day In The Life Of Nikita

Yesterday was VAL-entine’s Day and my Daddy surprised Mommy with huge chocolate strawberries that were delivered to her yesterday afternoon – WOW, what a surprise for Mommy!   Of course, I have to investigate every box that enters our house, so I did some major sniffing when this one arrived.

Mommy opened up the box and went WOW!  She was surprised at how huge these strawberries were and of course, Mommy got a plate and had to try one immediately!  She phoned Daddy to thank him, but he was super busy and in a meeting, so she had to leave him a voicemail.  Mommy turned her back for only a few seconds, and I was up on the counter – sniffing away at the box and she snapped this photo of me, but grabbed the box away from me fast before I could get my tongue all over that corner strawberry!  Rats, but it was quick thinking on my Mommy’s behalf because chocolate is deadly to us dogs.  Phew, thanks Mommy!  Thanks again Daddy for the wonderful & delicious surprise!

As for me, my day started off rough, as I threw up in the kitchen.  My tummy was not feeling well when I woke up, so I did not eat any breakfast, but I made a mess for Mommy to clean up.  (Sorry Mommy)  But, by 11:30, I was ready for breakfast and back to my normal self again!  I am not sure why certain toys of mine “make me crazy”, but my hedgehog turns me into one crazy dog.  I grab that thing in my mouth and shake it like a run over piece of road kill, I throw it up in the air, catch it, and run down the hallway with it while I snort away.  Silly me, eh?  Sometimes, I get so crazy with Hedgie, that Mommy has to take him away from me to settle me down.

The snow doggie that Mommy and I made yesterday, has already started to melt, as we are watching it from the front window as piece by piece falls off – an ear, the tail is leaning now, and just a few moments ago, the head of our snow doggie fell right off.  Bummer!  That was our best snow sculpture ever and it got lots of “head turns” as people walked by and drove by yesterday and today.  That’s ok, if it snows again, we will have to make another one!

American Idol is on tonight, so don’t forget to tune in at 8:00pm.  We felt let down last week, as we watched an hour of torture with the behind the scenes of the contestants forming groups, and one contestant who was a cop with a really bad attitude towards people in general and she could not find a group to join – I wonder why with that attitude?  Anyhow, it was way too much drama for us to watch, and when the hour was over, we looked at each other and said “that was it?”  We did not hear one group sing, and if we knew that was what we were going to watch for an hour, we could have hired someone to pull our fingernails out one by one, as it was torture!  They ended the show with a clip of “The Betty’s” walking up on stage to sing….and then the show ended.  Hopefully tonight we will be able to see some talent, and we would chuckle to our hearts content if we saw the group that the cop joined be sent home – I know that is harsh, but you don’t make it to Hollywood by threatening people “Sing Joy to the World, or else!”

Group Night will be interesting none the less, as there is “always” someone in the group who THINKS they are better than the rest and their attitude will always ruin it.  They should sit back and listen, take everything into perspective, and just be happy that they actually made it to Hollywood in the first place.  We’ll see what happens in a few hours…. stay tuned!

Secondary Leaves Forming

And last, but not least, I wanted to give you an update on our pumpkins that we started in little pots, as they are over 14+ inches in height now!  WOW!   They are sprouting their secondary leaves right now and if you remember from our experience last year, our secondary pumpkin leaves got over 17″ in width.  We started our little “kins” early just to see how well they would grow indoors before we planted them outside, and we are glad to see that they will be a big hit in the garden this year!  Don’t you just love the little “fur” (as we call it) on the pumpkin stalks?

Save The Drama for Your Momma

There may be “No Crying in Baseball”, but there will be lots of drama tonight on American Idol, as the initial auditions are over and the eliminations begin!  There will be lots of boo-hooing, lots of tears, and probably lots of bad notes flying around the stage like nails on a chalkboard, but one thing for sure, it will be exciting!  I got my official American Idol email this morning and noticed that there is about 300+ contestants going to Hollywood to see if they’ve got what it takes to stay in Hollywood.  Of course, up to now, we have only seen just a handful of auditions that aired on TV, so seeing the entire group tonight will be interesting.  We already have a few favorites of our own from what we saw, so we’ll see if they make the cut or not.

Here is a list of some of our favorites so far: (In no particular order)
* Phillip Phillips – Sang Superstition by Stevie Wonder
* Hallie Day – Sang I Will Survive
* Ashley Robles – Sang I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston
* Kyle Crews – 19 Year old College Student sang Angel of Mine by Monica
* Jason “Wolf” Hamlin – Sang Midnight Special by CCR
* Ethan Jones – Sang I’ll Be by Edwin McCain
* Lauren Gray – Sang One and Only by Adel
* Eben Frankowicz – Sang Ain’t No Sunshine
* John Keyser – Sang Changes Gonna Come

I hope you are going to tune in tonight to watch American Idol as the fun is just beginning as hundreds of Hollywood Hopefuls will take the stage to see if they got what it takes to move on to the next level.  I know one thing for sure is, that even if I sounded good singing in the shower, no way in the world would I audition.  I know better.  I’ll just keep my songs in my heart.

With love always – Your Puppy Idol Reviewer,
Nikita
