Meet the Author: The Color of People

BANNER THE COLOR OF PEOPLE

Our dear friend, Scott Labuda found out at an early age that he was a story teller.  His dream came true when he published The Color of People.  He hopes to spread the message in his book geared toward children that all skin tones makes a beautiful world and that each and every person is unique.  The Color of People is a simple book with a simple message.  We are born with the perfect color of skin, selected for us, and he hopes to turn the complex issue of race into a simple one, and to help children know the way they approach race and color can make a big difference.  He hopes to spark conversation among people about how they look at themselves and others and how each and every one of us can make a difference.

One of the most satisfying aspects of the book is that parents will enjoy reading the story with their children, as it’s a universal story of acceptance and helps children see themselves and others for who they are.

Scott found his passion writing children’s stories and his next goal is to turn the story into a coloring book.  He also hopes to continue writing stories and to make a series out of the concept.
